What We Do

Screen Printing

Screen Printing

Have you ever wondered how screen printing companies take your custom logo and turn it into a custom printed t-shirt?

Although screen printing is still done traditionally, the process has advanced into a more sophisticated art.
Still unrivaled in terms of print quality, screen printing is a method that pushes ink through a mesh stencil onto textiles to receive a desired image.
One colour is printed at a time so several colours can be used to produce a multi coloured design.
Here is a peek inside our custom screen printing process.

1. Creating Your Artwork Proof
First, the screen printing process starts with the artwork. We can work with a design or logo if you have one,
or you can have our artists create a custom design just for your order. You will get an online proof to review and approve
so you can be sure everything is 100% perfect before your shirts are produced. Once you have approved your online proof, our production artists get everything setup to start production on the shirts. The production artists will separate the design into layers of colours, which will each get their own screen for printing.

2. Creating Screens
We take your colour separated design and create one screen per colour.
To block areas that we don’t want ink to be applied to the t-shirt, we apply a special thing to the screen called emulsion.
We expose the photo sensitive emulsion to light. This exposure process allows your designed to be “burned” into the screen.
We rinse out the screen with water and then your screen is ready! We do this same process for each one of the colours in your design.
For each colour in your design a screen has to be produced to enable us to print it, there is a one-off set up charge for screen printed garments.

Screen printing is ideal for large quantity orders. Screen printed garments wash well and have a superior quality finish.
Our minimum order for screen printing is 10 pieces per design.
Turnaround times for screen printing is 7-10 Working Days.

Direct to Garment (DTG)

Direct to Garment

Direct to Garment printing (DTG) is suitable for high detailed images, images with a lot of print colours or for one-off or low volume orders.

A pre-treatment is always applied onto the garments in order to make sure the prints last the life of your garment.
DTG printing uses water based ink, this results in a print with a soft hand feel with both a vibrant and detailed printing.
Full-colour prints on both light and dark garments - no limit on number of colours
We aim to print, pack and ship within 72 hours of processing the order.
(excludes bank holidays and weekends and is subject to stock availability.)

If you have a moment, take a look at our Screen Printing VS DTG resource to get a good idea of the pros / cons of the process.
